Proper Parenting Prevents Pitiful Progeny
by Rev. Bert Arrowood (Mar 27 2011)
Series: Operation Solomon
Our youth pastor preaches on the first Sunday of our Spring Sunday School Campaign on the topic of parents and teenagers. Pastor Arrowood reminds the parent's of their responsibility, and focuses on the proper response that should come from the teenager. Above all, Jesus Christ is the supreme example for us to model our parent-teen relationship after.
The Flames of Faith
by Rev. Bert Arrowood (Nov 14 2010)
As Elijah puts the Baal worshipers to the test, he was exhibiting great faith in God. Our faith will be tested in the flames as those who reject God tempt us to give in to the ways of the world. We must believe that God will do what He says He'll do. Can your trust in God withstand the flames of faith?
Can God Set the Table?
by Rev. Bert Arrowood (Oct 24 2010)
When God doesn't take away a trial, He often works miracles in the middle of them. That's what He did when the Israelites were wandering for 40 years. Psalm 78 gives insight into their murmurings and doubts about whether God could take care of them in the midst of their suffering. Can God set a table in the wilderness? You bet He can!
The Good Shepherd
by Rev. Bert Arrowood (Sep 12 2010)
This message from the classic and familiar passage in Isaiah 53 is all about what Christ our Shepherd does for us as his sheep. Youth pastor Bert Arrowood preaches on the sorrows and sufferings of Christ, and then closes by reminding Christians that they are His sheep and must listen to the voice of their Shepherd.
Recipe for Service
by Rev. Bert Arrowood (Aug 29 2010)
In order to get the desired result in cooking, one must first add the right mixture of ingredients according to the recipe. One small change in measurement or method, and the food won't taste right. In Acts 9, we find through Saul's transformation to Paul a recipe for service to God. What are the proper ingredients in this recipe? How can you and I get the desired end result of blessed life in God's work?
