Work Out
by Dr. Jeff Amsbaugh (08/28/11)
Series: Teamwork Sundays @ Grace
When you look at the word "Teamwork" the idea of work is implied and a team will never be successful without work. There are so many things that need to be accomplished for a churches ministries to run and run smoothly. God places certain people with certain abilities in churches to fill the need that are there. Are you filling the gap that the Lord has placed you to fill? It's never too late to start and we must never begin to murmur when things don't go our way.
Manage By Walking Around
by Dr. Jeff Amsbaugh (08/21/11)
Series: Teamwork Sundays @ Grace
Every team needs management and the best and Biblical way to manage is by walking around. You need to be aware of the needs of your team. If a coach never comes to practice how will he know what the players need to develop? There needs to be clear rules given, and rewards for appropriate actions. A good manager gives room for mistakes and growth. He always is respectful in his speech especially in a reprimand, which are at times necessary, and, of course, he should always be ready to forgive and close a matter so everyone can move on to success. How do we manage our "team"?
Be Alert
by Dr. Jeff Amsbaugh (08/14/11)
Series: Teamwork Sundays @ Grace
The "A" in "Teamwork" stands for being alert. We cannot be very effective if we are not alert to our surroundings and even more specifically the needs of others around us. We must not seclude ourselves from the rest of the world, having "we four and no more" for our motto. The Bible is clear that we are to interact with those in this world and try to counteract the devil. We are not a world unto ourselves, but we are the light of the world. Our other teammates are counting on us to be alert.

Tying to the Vision
by Dr. Jeff Amsbaugh (07/24/11)
Series: Teamwork Sundays @ Grace
Teamwork begins only when all the team members are following the same plan and set of guidelines. The T in teamwork stands for "Tying to the Vision". Using the acrostic of WIFE Pastor gives the vision that will help each of us tie on to the vision of what our church is about. We must WORSHIP, that is have a big view of God. We must take INSTRUCTION, that is have a big view of the Bible. We must love FELLOWSHIP by having a big view of our church. Finally, we must EVANGELIZE by having a big view of our job. These are the steps of tying on to the vision.
