Continuing down the Biblical Route 66 we come to be book of Esther. The Jewess chosen to be queen in a land that was not quite Jew friendly. God had orchestrated the circumstances so that Esther could be in the right place at the right time to do a great service for God's people and to judge those who would harm them.
Nehemiah

Nehemiah is this stop on the Biblical Route 66. Nehemiah is a man who recognized that God's hand was upon him and was very courageous. This courage was contagious and effected the others around him. They said,"Let us rise up and build". Nehemiah had great goals and a great plan for accomplishing them. Nehemiah got a hold of God's plan and put it to work all the way through to the finish. Oh, that we would strive for God's plan in our lives.

The 1 Chronicles stop on our biblical route 66 brings us down through the life of David. He was given several gifts from the Lord including the removal of David's opposition, securing the crown, conquering Jerusalem, and enlisting of his mighty men. God also alowed David to experience the effects of His glory. God's presence, promise power and purposes were revield to David.
II Kings

At this stop on the biblical route 66 tour we arrive at the book of II Kings. During the writing of this book many of the prophets are prophesying in Israel and Judah. The book covers a large period of history almost three centuries long. We will see Elisha's escapades with several kings and the erosion and exile of the Jewish empire into captivity.
I Kings

The next leg of our journey down route 66 brings us to I Kings. This book covers the rise and fall of Solomon which led to the splitting of the Northern and Southern Kingdoms. The basic outline of the book is a record of the early kings and how they ruled the divided kingdoms.
2 Samuel

In 2 Samuel, the faithfulness of God is stressed in regards to David. In this book of the Bible, we see God pledging Himself to a place (Jerusalem) and a house (David's). It traces the high points and the low points in David's life. This is our 10th stop on the Route 66 journey through the Bible.
