This passage reveals one such teacher to us, and reminds us that though they may not be in the running for teacher of the year, they could stumble into a great moment. Eli was not a good teacher, but God used him for one great task that changed a nation by turning them back to Him.

What does it take to be great in house. There are many views that one could follow to become what we would consider great. This passage reveals God's way of becoming great. Service to others on the behalf of God is the way that we can be great. Have you ever noticed that some one holds you in higher esteem when you have served them in some fashion. This is the Biblical way to become great in the house.
How Ladies Minister for Jesus

With the Bible times mentality of it being a man's world and women are not much more than property it would have been difficult for ladies to be active in serving Jesus, as we can see in this passage there were those who made that sacrifice. Jesus made sure that these ladies had a place to serve and was even willing to use ladies who were once some of the most unlikely candidates. God can and does use many kinds of people. We are all needed. Will we serve?
