The Trying of Your Faith

From this passage we can find that trials are not uncommon in our lives. In fact, verse two shows us that there may be a very diverse collection of them. That being the case, the only thing we can do is to make sure that we react to the trial in faith that God is in control. God has brought the trial to see us grow. They are part of His will and we should want His will for our lives.
Esther

God had orchestrated the circumstances so that Esther could be in the right place at the right time to do a great service for God's people and to judge those who would harm them.

Nehemiah is this stop on the Biblical Route 66. Nehemiah is a man who recognized that God's hand was upon him and was very courageous. This courage was contagious and effected the others around him. They said,"Let us rise up and build". Nehemiah had great goals and a great plan for accomplishing them. Nehemiah got a hold of God's plan and put it to work all the way through to the finish. Oh, that we would strive for God's plan in our lives.

The book covers a large period of history almost three centuries long. We will see Elisha's escapades with several kings and the erosion and exile of the Jewish empire into captivity.
I Kings

The next leg of our journey down route 66 brings us to I Kings. This book covers the rise and fall of Solomon which led to the splitting of the Northern and Southern Kingdoms. The basic outline of the book is a record of the early kings and how they ruled the divided kingdoms.
